About ARA-290

ARA-290 is an 11-amino-acid peptide modelled on part of erythropoietin. It activates EPO’s tissue-protective receptor without stimulating red blood cell production. Small randomized trials in sarcoidosis-associated small fibre neuropathy reported improved symptoms and corneal nerve density.

ARA-290 calculator questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10 mg ARA-290 vial?

The calculator does not prescribe a volume; the right choice depends on how large you want each draw to be. As arithmetic: 10 mg in 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 50 mcg. Use the “Water to add” tab to work backwards from a draw size.

What concentration does ARA-290 have after reconstitution?

Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water volume. For example, 10 mg in 2 mL is 5 mg/mL. Check the certificate of analysis for net peptide content, which is usually lower than the label.
