About Adipotide

Adipotide is an experimental peptide designed to kill the blood vessels that feed white fat. In obese rhesus monkeys it reduced body weight by about 11% and improved insulin resistance over four weeks, but it also caused dose-dependent kidney injury.

Adipotide calculator questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 2 mg Adipotide vial?

The calculator does not prescribe a volume; the right choice depends on how large you want each draw to be. As arithmetic: 2 mg in 2 mL gives 1 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 10 mcg. Use the “Water to add” tab to work backwards from a draw size.

What concentration does Adipotide have after reconstitution?

Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water volume. For example, 2 mg in 2 mL is 1 mg/mL. Check the certificate of analysis for net peptide content, which is usually lower than the label.
